My goal in each class is to teach a technique for applying paint to paper in a way to insure the intense and vibrant colors which identify my paintings. Because time issues don’t allow me to teach drawing, I provide a sketch of an original painting I have designed especially for the class. I emphasize that the class participants should always use their own designs and compositions when producing their art work outside of the class. Demonstrations for each stage of the painting is reinforced with color copies of the process. The end result is a finished painting, or one that can be finished at home, by the end of the 3 - 4 hour class. The 5 classes ( one a week ) will cover different applications such as flowers, water reflections, still life, and weathered wood textures.
